A body that’s really fit has strength, endurance and the ability to recover from hard knocks. There are a number of ways to achieve this – most of them involve training programs that mimic the high-powered bursts of energy that occur in real fight situations.  As an example, running is good for endurance and cardio, but it’s the fast running and sprinting that works best for fight training.

There are some great fitness training programs and styles that have developed recently in the Israeli area of the world – I’m thinking mainly of Krav Maga and also the TACFIT program.
